Hello Bliss

Truth.Love.Purpose.Wellness

Happiness seems to be something we are all craving, a deep inner joy that radiates from the inside out no matter what our circumstances.  Over the past few years of self discovery and working with many beautiful beings I come to see that many of us are confused between happiness and pleasure.  Which is easily done in the fast pace pleasure seeking society we have somehow become part of which promotes external pleasure chasing activities that leave no room for stillness and the cultivation of pure inner happiness.

Pleasure typically passes, for example you enjoy a beautiful meal, you have the perfect partner, you visit your favourite holiday destination and then… you come home, your meal is gone and your partner leaves you. What happens when/if these things are taken away, I would suggest that you may become riddled with pain, anxiety and have a deep craving for more of the same.

Between the feelings of pleasure and pain we tend to look for distractions to avoid truly feeling what it is like to exist in a state of being – free from pleasure and free from pain.  We may take medications, abuse substances, become addicted to accolades and participate in activities that start to numb the body from truly feeling and experiencing a life of being, a life of joy, a life of “being happy just for the sake of being happy”.

We work hard at cultivating more and more pleasure to simply avoid any sort of pain… we are conditioned comfort seekers, we hate feeling any degree of discomfort.  If we are cold, we want to get warm, if we have a headache we want it gone immediately…  so basically we don’t want feel unless it feels amazing.

Many of us will also sit in fear, guilt and safety to avoid actually having to confront and feel any discomfort or conflict stirred up by standing up and stepping away from these safe zones.  Pain in all its forms however usually catches up with us in the end as it is part of the human experience.

So how can we cultivate more happiness and more joy?  Iam talking the type that just radiates from our being because this is our true nature.  Because as earthlings, its our birth right to radiate a consistent vibrational light, it was not intended for us to be earthlings merely here to seek extreme pleasure or extreme pain as part of our human experience.

We all have a right to pleasure don’t get me wrong…  its amazing so enjoy it (and enjoy it a lot!), but just start to take note of patterns and pleasure seeking behaviour that will not bring you long lasting joy in this lifetime.

True happiness is not dependant on a thing, an experience or a person.  Its lasting energy that is your baseline of being an energetic soul.  It is the peace, serenity, gratitude and love felt when you are in awe of simply existing.

Recognising this difference will help you from simply filling your life up with stuff in the pursuit of pleasure or avoidance of pain.  It will allow you to partake in activities that offer more stillness and balance, activities with less noise, activities that allow you to get bored and start to listen to your inner voice… perhaps with conscious listening you may have a realisation of how lonely, unsatisfied, hurt or destructive your self talk may be.

This for me has been the gem…  the stillness.  Through meditation, contemplation, solitude and nature, I have gotten to know myself and my patterning so well that I have been able to (and continue to) work through feelings and emotions as a source of growth and contentment.  This brings you back to your true self, your vibrational being, the joy of which we all are.

Society today is becoming more and more disconnected, we have little time for reflection as we are constantly bombarded with external stimulates and distractions.  Unless we wholeheartedly decide to stop, breath and ask the question surrounding truth and purpose, there is simply no time for this in our daily lives.  These questions however are vital if you are seeking to follow your true calling.  When you decide to do this… lasting happiness starts to drop in more frequently.

The message here, simply become aware of the difference between pleasure and happiness.  Reflect on your pleasure activities and how you would feel if those things were taken away.  Would you feel a sense of joy simply from your pure existence?  Our answers to these questions will highlight where we need to do the real work.

Much love Willow x

“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”

Dalai Lama XIV

Manifesting your souls desires is serious business, as this of course is what shapes your entire existence.  Have you put time into actually feeling into what your heart truly desires and what your life purpose is?  Have you corrected your thoughts and actions to support this?

Our understanding around manifesting a life we truly desire is growing rapidly as we start to grasp the concept of letting go of blocks to make room for the new and allow universal energy to flow freely.  Plus our acceptance of the term the “power of positive thinking” has really boosted our manifesting powers.

Knowing that everything is vibration or energy, we can also acknowledge that so are our thoughts.  Everyday we have thousands of thoughts, most of which tend to be negative or of past experiences and future projections. We worry and we complain about whats missing in our lives instead of enjoying whats here right now and the possibilities that lie ahead.  By changing the frequency of our thoughts we can change our world.

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.” ~ Buddha ~

Based on this we can easily accept that we get back exactly what we send out in to the universe, a true reflection of our vibration.  So if you take some time to contemplate what you need and your purpose and revisit this frequently you can gain some control over the direction of your life.

By stepping through life with no plan and complaining about other people and your situation… you may find yourself frustrated, find that nothing changes, that people annoy you and bad luck seems to follow you. Guess what, guaranteed you’ll attract more of that as thats the energy you are flicking about and focusing on.  Instead, thank the universe for the challenge, experience and the opportunity to set some intentions to move forward.  Still embrace going with the flow, please….  but know you can have a chilled out existence and still vibrationally raise your environment if you set some purposeful intentions and change the way you think.

FORMALISING YOUR INTENSION SETTING

I love to formalise my intension setting by creating a ritual to amplify its vibration throughout the universe.  They are powerful and symbolic ways to strengthen your connection to the power of universal life force energy that exists within you and all around you…  this energy is the creator and extremely powerful!

Its also worthwhile to perform these rituals daily or in sync with the moon to ensure you revisit the intension. (Hence bringing more attention and energy to it.)

An intention is a thought directed towards a desired outcome or in a spiritual context its the realisation that our consciousness can create our reality.  Are you clear on your intensions?

Intension setting guidelines:

  • Let go of limiting self belief
  • Be clear on what you want
  • Feel it with all your senses
  • Write it down and take action
  • Ritualise it and revisit it
  • Celebrate successes

Practicing contemplation, meditation and breathwork can support you in getting clear on your deeper soul desires.  These tools will support you in becoming  aware of what is holding you back from receiving and help you to manifest that which you most deeply desire in this lifetime.

SOME IDEAS TO GET YOU STARTED

Once you are clear on your intensions you may then like to ritualise the process.  Below are a few ideas to help you create a ritual to resonates.

Aromatic Intention Blend

Creating your own essential oil intension blend is a beautiful way to keep you focused on your goal.  Select oils for your blend based on personal preference, intuition and your understanding of some of their key emotional and physical properties.

You may wish to make the blend during a new moon ritual or in your sacred space to really intensity its vibration. If you feel like you need support with creating a blend – lets do a workshop with some friends and I can help you feel confident.

  • Repeat your intention to yourself as you use your blend. Focus on positively manifesting your goal and repeat your intension as you apply your blend topically to the part of your body that feels right.  It could be over certain chakra points, on pulse points or everywhere.
  • Inhale your blend and take an imprint of the deliciousness in your nose.  Continue to associate this aroma with the manifestation of your purpose. (Aroma triggers memories deep within the brain, so imprint it well!)
  • Use your blend each day to continue to remind you to stay true to your path, if you falter on the road come back to the blend and re-set.

Cacao Ceremony

You may like to set you intension during a chocolatey cacao ceremony.  Invite in the “Spirit of Cacao” and ask her for support as you share your intensions with her.  Cacao is a true heart opener and can be used to set intensions with every sip. Make this ceremony your own – there are no rules!

I look fwd to sharing a Cacao Ceremony with you in the coming months at Avoca Beach.  In the meantime try your own and read more about the benefits of cacao here.

New Moon Ritual

The new moon and the week leading up the new moon is the perfect time to set and ignite new intensions. It’s a time to get clear so you can embark on manifesting your soul desires into your life.    I suggest googling “perform a new moon ritual” and finding one that you like, or just go outside and start sharing your heart with the moon!

Using the moon is fun for a few reasons:

  • It awakens a deeper connection with nature
  • It acts as a natural clock and reminder to revisit our intensions
  • There is heightened and varied vibrational energy

Most importantly, have fun and think positive thoughts.  The more you watch and observe your thoughts and actions the easier it will be to make positive shifts to re-shape your reality. Willow x
